Abacor + Ignition: Quick Start Guide
The Abacor and Ignition integration lets you turn any prospect meeting into a draft proposal in Ignition with a single click. Below is what the integration can do, when to reach for it, and how to get the best results.

What you can do with Abacor + Ignition
With the Ignition integration enabled, from the post-meeting summary page under Quick Actions in Abacor you can:
Create a draft proposal in Ignition in one click. Abacor opens a guided flow that pulls the context of the meeting (services discussed, scope agreed to, pricing mentioned, and who was on the other side) and matches it against your Ignition service catalog to build a structured proposal draft.
Curate the proposal before it saves. Review and adjust which service lines to include, the fee structure, billing cadence, and start date. Nothing is locked in until you confirm.
Save the draft directly into Ignition. Once confirmed, the proposal lives in your Ignition account as a draft, ready for a final look and send.
Keep partner and admin in sync. If a partner ran the meeting and an admin builds the proposal, the admin opens a draft that already reflects the conversation, instead of starting from notes.
Hand off to Ignition for the rest. Once you send the proposal from Ignition and the prospect signs, the engagement letter, invoices, pre-approved payment method, and reconciliation run automatically.
Sync existing contacts from Ignition into Abacor. When the integration is connected, contacts created in Ignition flow into Abacor automatically, so the people on your engagements stay consistent across both platforms without manual re-entry.
Create new contacts in Ignition from your Abacor calls. When a prospect call surfaces someone who isn't yet in Ignition, Abacor creates the contact from the meeting context and syncs it into Ignition, so new prospects are ready to attach to a proposal without manual re-entry.
Abacor does not send proposals on your behalf. The integration creates drafts. You still review, edit, and send from Ignition.
When to use it
Right after a discovery or onboarding call. A new prospect just agreed to move forward. Open the post-meeting page, click Create Proposal, and have a draft saved to Ignition before the meeting tab closes.
When a client expands scope mid-engagement. A check-in turns into "while you're at it, can you also handle…". Spin a proposal from that meeting so the new work gets papered before it gets forgotten.
When tax planning or advisory work comes up in passing. Out-of-scope work agreed to in conversation often quietly slips through. If it was on the call, it can be on the proposal.
For partner-led calls that admins productize. Partner takes the call. Admin opens the post-meeting page, clicks Create Proposal, and reviews a draft built from the actual conversation rather than reconstructing it from notes.
Tips for better results
Be specific on the call about scope and pricing. The clearer the verbal commitments, the cleaner the draft. If a fee was named, Abacor can pull it. If only a vague range was mentioned, you'll be filling that in yourself.
Confirm service lines verbally before wrapping. Even a quick "so to recap, we'll handle the bookkeeping, the entity setup, and quarterly tax planning" gives the proposal flow something concrete to Ignition on.
Review the draft in the guided flow, not after. The Abacor flow is where adjustments are easiest. Adding service lines or reworking the fee structure after the draft is in Ignition is doable, but slower.
Use the post-meeting page as your launch point. Create Proposal lives on the post-meeting page in Abacor, alongside the summary and action items. You don't need to leave Abacor to start the proposal.
Troubleshooting
The Create Proposal button isn't showing. Make sure your Abacor workspace is connected to Ignition under Settings, Integrations. Connection is per-workspace and only needs to happen once.
The draft is missing a service or fee that came up on the call. The guided flow surfaces what it found, but you can add or edit any line before saving. If a particular type of service is consistently missing, your Ignition service catalog may not include it yet. Adding it in Ignition will let it flow through on future drafts.
The proposal didn't appear in Ignition. Drafts save to the Ignition account that authenticated the integration. If you have multiple Ignition accounts or work across firms, confirm which account is connected. You can re-authenticate from Settings, Integrations.
Permissions. You can only create proposals in Ignition accounts you have access to. If your Ignition role doesn't include proposal creation, the draft will fail to save.
